Kenya Today/Leo is a news agency founded at the beginning of 2015 with the aim of providing real time news and educative information affecting Kenyans locally and internationally. The purpose of the organization is to highlight, sensitize and find possible solutions for those issues affecting Kenyans both locally and abroad.

Kenya Today/Leo aims at not only providing news but also educating Kenyans and the international community about the many misconceived topics affecting Kenyans. Many Kenyans are not aware of many issues that are happening in different parts of their society. Equally, the international community is not aware of many matters that happen in Kenya resulting them in developing their assumptions and misconceptions about Kenya. For this reason, Kenya Today/Leo will educate both the international community and Kenyans to understand this beautiful nation Kenya.

Finally, Kenya Today/Leo is about promoting positive journalism. Kenya Today/Leo aims at providing news to promote positive thinking, that is, Kenya Today/Leo aims at providing its viewers and readers with unbiased news to show the two sides of the coin.

Protecting the boy child Before the Coronavirus global pandemic, “Attention lavished on the girl child has leftboy child lonely and adrift” by Hezron Mogambi reported from police data that there were 2,774 homicides in 2017, an increase from the previous year. From a report published by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in 2018, Kenya was amongthose countries with the highest cases of female homicides noted by Mogambi. After the pandemic started, the situation did not subside but rather escalate with more homicides.  Another disturbing report shows that “Close to 4,000 schoolgirls impregnated in Kenya during COVID-19 lockdown.”   As I continue to read and watch more of these stories, I ask myself what is the problem? Chelsea FC is the 2021 EUFA Champions League Winners Chelsea’s German Midfielder Kai Havertz solitary goal in the first half of the match upsets the highly motivated 2020/2021 EPL Champions Manchester City who wanted to take the double. Despite all the attempts by Manchester City Striking force of Sterlin and Mahrez, Chelsea defends the first half one nil win to become the 2021 EUFA Champions League Winners.  The team will pocket at least €82,450,000  (12,594,678,607.50 Kenyan Shilling) of prize money under this structure, not counting shares of the qualifying rounds, play-off round or the market pool. Chelsea, as the underdogs have surprised many to win the EUFA Champions League Trophy. The team won the cup last in 2012 almost ten years ago. For Manchester city is another case. The two English Giants have been looking forward to win the cup, but Chelsea have had the day.
